What is Adventure Dining?
Adventure Dining combines many of the outdoor adventures enjoyed by USNWC guests with a fireside, chef-curated meal. Zipline & Dine features a trip down our ziplines, while Paddle to Table involves paddling either kayaks or stand-up paddle boards on the Catawba River. During each Adventure Dining program, guests convene for a chef-curated meal.
How do I register for an event?
Guests can register for any Adventure Dining program on the specific Adventure Dining page or by phone (704-391-3900).
What is on the menu?
Menu options vary based on the day and program. Please visit the specific Adventure Dining page you are interested in for menu options.
What should I bring/wear?
All necessary gear for activities is provided. You need to come prepared by wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. Please remember to bring a towel and an extra set of clothes if you plan to participate in water activities. Keep your electronics in a secured area when participating in our activities. Where do I check-in for my event?
Check-in for Zipline & Dine is located at the River Center Breezeway. Check-in for Paddle to Table is located at the Kayak Center. Please reference our map for directions.
What if I have a dietary concern; should I notify the USNWC in advance?
Please refer to the menus posted on the specific Adventure Dining page. Dinner will take place in a non-traditional location, limiting our ability to cater to particular dietary restrictions. Those with dietary restrictions are urged to check the menus before selecting their specific date.
In the event of inclement weather, what happens with regard to my registration?
Inclement weather decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. Adventure Dining operates under a no-refund policy, but guests are welcome to reschedule when an entire Adventure Dining program is cancelled due to inclement weather.
Can I stand-up paddle board or kayak on Paddle to Table?
Guests taking part in Paddle to Table are welcome to choose between using stand-up paddle boards or kayaks.
