From East Texas, to Carolina, to coastal Virginia Seth Stainback has carved out a niche for himself as a not so typical southern songwriter. With a strong blend of blues, country, folk, old gospel and rock n roll, Stainback has laid the foundation needed to pursue his sound with his group Roosterfoot. In their short time together, Roosterfoot has played LOCKN Fest, Floydfest, Mustang Music Festival, Rooster Walk, Virginia Beach’s American Music Fest, Neptune Festival and much more. They have been direct support for the likes of B.B. King, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr., ZZ Top, 38 Special, Anders Osborne, Robert Earl Keen, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Rusted Root, Delta Rae, & Kip Moore to name a few. In 2014 Roosterfoot released “Fire and Steel” produced by New Orleans own, Anders Osborne and mixed by Grammy Award Winning engineer Warren Riker (Lauryn Hill, Santana) to rave reviews and won numerous awards for the effort. The summer of 2016 will see the release of their third release simply titled “Roosterfoot”. Warren Riker joined the boys in the studio once again, this time co-producing, and the album was mastered by Grammy nominated/winner, Pete Lyman (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell). Roosterfoot will be touring all summer long including stops at this year’s Floydfest, Riverbend Festival, Americana Beer Festival, and more. Armed with a tough work ethic, these boys are on a big road with a long haul.
