U.S. Slalom Team Trials – Canoe/Kayak Slalom

The roads to Brazil and Italy come through Charlotte in April as U.S. Slalom Team Trials take place at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. This two-day event will determine the final roster for this year’s U.S. Team as they prepare to compete in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the 2018 World Championships, as well as the U.S. Junior National Team headed to the World Championships to be held in Ivera, Italy.

ICF SLALOM COMPETITION RULES:

The Slalom Technical Committee is enforcing ICF Slalom Competition Rules at the 2018 U.S. Slalom Team Trials with regards to personal protective equipment. Specifically rule 19.2. Please ensure that your equipment meets these standards prior to equipment inspection. There will be a limited amount of equipment at the event through Galasport USA. Please contact your coach or your nearest ACA representative for details or follow the provided link to the ICF rules.

Extreme Slalom

Extreme slalom trials will be held as an additional category. Competitors must use a roto-molded kayak 9’ or under. Plastic boats are available for rent from the USNWC on a first come, first serve basis for $25. Contact fcoffey@usnwc.org to reserve a boat.
