Whitewater Kayaking

One of the major advantages of paddling at the USNWC is the consistency of quality rapids and limited amount of flatwater. Paddlers with whitewater kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and gear can enjoy our whitewater channels eight months out of the year. Considering the inherent risk, Class III whitewater experience is required for all paddlers, and kayakers should be able to perform a reliable combat roll.

Paddlers must provide their own boat, helmet, paddle, spray skirt, and personal flotation device. Professional whitewater kayaking instruction is available. Other questions? Visit Kayaking FAQs.
