Deep Water Solo is back with another opportunity to compete on this one-of-a-kind climbing complex. The USNWC’s Deep Water Solo complex features walls reaching heights of 25 to 45 feet, all cliffhanging over a 20 foot deep pool to catch climbers as they splash down after their route. This point-based competition is open to climbers of all ability levels, from the seasoned veteran to the first timer. River Jam at the U.S. National Whitewater Center brings together live musical performances throughout the year to a one-of-a-kind outdoor venue, right in the middle of the world’s largest man-made whitewater river. Genres including roots rock, americana, bluegrass, folk, and funk take center stage Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights as well as during each of the USNWC’s festivals. Bring your friends, enjoy our large food and craft beer selection, and take in the sights and sounds of River Jam.

Paddle, bike, run. The Dry Tri substitutes swim caps for kayaks/stand-up paddleboards. Competitors will begin the race with a 1.25 mile kayak/stand-up paddleboard paddle around Sadler Island on the Catawba River, followed by a 15K mountain bike ride, and a 5K run through the USNWC’s trail system. Take on the challenge as an individual in a kayak or grab your friends and compete in a relay team of two or three. Stick around after the race and enjoy live music, food, drink, and fireworks at the USNWC’s Labor Day Celebration.Find out more »
