Event Details:

 King & Queen of East Main

  • Description: One word describes the trail system at the USNWC, and the course we’re using for the Cross-Country Race: Epic. Don’t believe us? Register today and compete for some rad prizes on the 6ish-mile East Main loop for beginner and sport class – with the semi-pro & pro class doing 2 laps. Your heart rate will be pegged on the course, but the awesome prizes that await if you win from Shimano, SRAM, Specialized and Focus will be well worth it. Sign up today!

NCCX Race #3 – USNWC Cyclocross Showdown

The Enduro Challenge – Timed Slope-style Event

  • Description: Think you’ve got the speed and skill to become the king or queen of your class on our dedicated Enduro course. This one is a race against the clock and you can try multiple runs on a variety of race-ready steeds to figure out which one is fastest.  Come out and let’s see what you’ve got as we time your runs on either Goat Hill, Gas Line, or the Slalom courses. Sign up today! Sweet prizes await the top riders with the best times.

Sunday Social Ride

  • Description: Maybe you’re looking for a change of pace from your standard weekend group ride, or need a mellow recovery ride after doing a big local grand fondo the day before. Or maybe you just want to ride on some of the most beautiful rolling country roads in North Carolina. Either way, bring your road bike or reserve a fresh demo from some of the great brands participating in the CycloFest demo, then buckle your chin strap, clip in, and roll with us on either a 31 or 62-mile ride.

  • Time: Wheels-up at 8:00am sharp
  • Location: Registration will be at Outfitters, near the USNWC flagpoles at the main entrance

Get-a-long Shorty – Short Track Mountain Bike Race

  • Description: When was the last time you raced a multi-lap short track circuit on gravel and dirt weaving around a whitewater channel? If you’re a local and did the race at Tuck Fest, then you have a leg up on the competition. But don’t let that scare you if you haven’t. The Short-Track MTB Race will be a circuit race held on a single-track loop, contested for 40 minutes.  Racers will complete as many laps as possible during the allotted time, and will be given a one-lap-to-go warning at the beginning of their final lap.  All racers will finish on the leaders’ final lap and will be scored according to how many laps they completed. Sign up today! Jerseys and prizes to all the top finishers!

The Whitewater Grinder – Gravel Grinder Race

  • Description: Still jonesing for some on/off-road racing on a drop bar bike? Our friends at the USNWC have carved out a new 9 mile course for you to roll on. This single-lap (Beginner and Sport) or two-lap (Semi-Pro and Pro) event will utilize a variety of doubletrack service roads, gravel roads, gravel greenway, and non-technical single-track. If you are an adventure-oriented gravel enthusiasts – you’ll want to add this to your to-do list for the weekend. The only prize here is personal pride for having laid it all on the line.

Awards will be given out by Fall CycloFest in various categories throughout these events

Additional Event Info:

  • All participants must sign the USNWC waiver before participating
  • Whitewater Race Series Refund and Transfer Policy:
    • Race Registration is non-refundable
    • A 100% registration transfer must be requested 2 months (or more) in advance of race day via racedirector@usnwc.org
    • A 50% registration transfer must be requested 1 month (or more) in advance of race day via racedirector@usnwc.org
    • Registration transfers are only applicable to the same race the following year
  • Bike plate must be visible and displayed on the front of the bike to receive an accurate time
  • Participants must be present to accept awards. Awards will not be mailed
  • Locker rooms and shower facilities are located at the main USNWC River Center
  • Event will proceed rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe by the Race Director. Any modifications will be communicated via email and on this webpage
  • All guests are required to pay a $5 parking fee at the USNWC unless guest has an annual parking pass. Annual parking passes are available through the USNWC for $40
  • Headphones, iPods, MP3 players, etc are discouraged for the safety of all participants
  • Remain attentive and courteous at all times, trails will be open to other runners, hikers and bikers
  • No pets allowed on the course
  • The USNWC does not conduct trail rescues in the event of an emergency. Participants are encouraged to call 911 THEN notify event staff if an emergency is encountered
