Catawba SwimRun Race

The Catawba SwimRun Race is one of the newest additions to the Whitewater Race Series calendar, combining swim and run elements in a format that is growing in popularity throughout the racing community. Participants will begin the 4-ish mile loop with a run leg through the USNWC’s trail system before jumping into the Catawba River for the first swim leg of the event. From there, participants will complete a series of alternating run and swim legs that will encompass various sections of trail system and river. 1 lap and 3 lap options are available.

Will this be doable without a wetsuit? Obviously has a lot to do with person tolerances but wondering if it could be done without purchasing a suit?

      Hey Grant,
A wetsuit is recommended but not required.
