Microbrews Cruise – 2014 Schedule

Sunset paddle along the Catawba River followed by a fireside dinner with craft beer tastings.

Event Details:

Each cruise begins with a guided flatwater paddle along the Catawba River. As the sun starts to set on the river, you’ll work your way back to the shore for a chef-prepared, fireside dinner at the Adventure Pavilion. Each cruise features a select craft brewery; representatives from the breweries lead the tastings by highlighting new, seasonal and unique brews.


  • Look for our 2015 dates to be released closer to April 2015.

Participant Schedule:

  • Check-in at Kayak Center: 6:15 p.m.
  • Flatwater paddle on the Catawba River: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Campfire-lit dinner and beer tasting at the Adventure Pavilion: 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Price: $55 per person

Tickets: Click on the Microbrews Cruise (see dates above) you’d like to attend to purchase tickets.

Proper attire: Guests should wear clothes that will get wet.

    This sounds great! We love to use our own boats. I know that the price won’t change, however it is hard to get to the site from the parking are to bring our own boats?

      Hi Natalie, it’s about a mile walk from the parking lot to the flatwater dock on mainly gravel trails.

    What happens in the event of rain? Is there a refund given?

      Hi Tiffany, our events are rain or shine. If we make the decision to cancel the event, you will be contacted with the option to reschedule.

    So do you have to be 21 to participate in this event? or can you be younger and do it but skip out on the beer tasting?

      Hi Gabe, you do not have to be 21 to participate in this event but, they will not be able to participate in the beer tasting.

    Does the $55 include access to the park earlier in the day as well for other activities or is that a separate charge?
