Participant Schedule:
- Check-in at Kayak Center: 6 p.m.
- Flatwater paddle on the Catawba River: 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
- Campfire-lit dinner and beer tasting on Hawk Island: 8 – 10 p.m.
Price: $55 per person
Tickets: Click on the Microbrews Cruise (see dates above) you’d like to attend to purchase tickets.
Proper attire: We recommend that guests wear clothing that can get wet.
Event Details:
Each cruise begins with a guided flatwater paddle along the Catawba River. As the sun starts to set on the river, you’ll work your way back to the shore for a chef-prepared, fireside dinner on Hawk Island. Each cruise features a select craft brewery; representatives from the breweries lead the tastings by highlighting new, seasonal and unique brews.
Are you having a micro-brew cruise this Saturday, Feb 16th?
Is it the same price if I bring my own flatwater kayak?

Hi Dan, the price for the Microbrews Cruise is $55 for all participants. We are working on filling our River Jam schedule, which can be found here: http://usnwc.org/category/riverjam/.

How old must u be to participate in event?
Hi S. Henry, we do not have an age minimum for participation in the Microbrews Cruise.

Is the last date supposed to be June 26?

Is June 26 the last date? Any dates in July? I recall doing it in July last year….since most of these dates are while school is still in session, over summer is easier!! Thanks!!

Do you have any brewery cruises on march 27th?
Hi Debbie, we do not have a Microbrews Cruise scheduled for March 27. These will begin on May 1.
The link to order the Bell’s tickets sends you to 6/21 on the calendar still. I manually adjusted the date to 6/26 and purchased the tickets. I hope there’s no issues.
Hi Josh, the dates listed on our website have just been corrected. Bell’s Brewery will be coming on Friday, June 21. We are hoping to also fill in a date for Wednesday, June 26 and will add that date to the calendar as soon as we confirm a brewery.
Is there a set dinner menu? Wanted to make sure it’s not a fish menu do to allergies

Will it be canceled if it is raining?
Hi Arli, the Microbrews Cruise will go on in the event of rain. If the weather is dangerous or unending, we will reschedule with our guests.
If I have a season pass do I still have to pay for the cruise or get a discount?
Hi Frances, we do not offer Microbrews Cruise discounts for season passholders.
Do you serve “regular” beer as well?
Hey Phyl, while we do serve other beers out here, the Microbrews Cruise features beers specific to the listed brewery.
We can only attend on a weekend & both Sat. evenings are already booked. Will you be adding more weekend dates for the Microbrews Cruise? If, so, any idea when I should check back? Thanks
