Learn how to stand up on a paddleboard while floating down a whitewater river. Experience a sensation similar to surfing ocean waves while standing and riding a SUP. Our whitewater SUP clinics pick up where the flatwater SUP clinics and lessons leave off, continuing to refine concepts and techniques learned on the Catawba while introducing new skills and concepts such as edging, river reading, whitewater rescue, and more. Our professional ACA certified instructors will use student-centered teaching methods to help you identify and achieve your goals. The whitewater clinic will start in the USNWC top pond and gradually build skills and confidence in a fun and forgiving environment. The artificial river system at the USNWC provides a controlled and predictable environment with easy access to create the ideal learning environment. All Whitewater SUP-specific equipment is provided by the Kayak Center.
