USNWC Field Trips include Environmental Education and STEM-based classes that offer students in grades K-12 the chance to learn through active, outdoor experiences that correlate to N.C. Essential Standards. Each program is designed to challenge students mentally and physically while teaching them about our natural surroundings and encouraging them to become environmental stewards in our community. Field Trips offer the opportunity to participate in three levels of Educational Adventure programs which include access to available USNWC pass activities.
Educational Adventure I
The Educational Adventure I (EA I) program allows you to choose a combination of up to 3 unique educational classes and/or available USNWC pass activities. Your day will be scheduled into 3 sessions with students rotating through each class or activity.
The Educational Adventure II (EA II) program provides your choice of one EA class and includes all day access to select USNWC pass activities. Students will rotate through the EA class time in small groups. At other times, students can participate in various zipline, ropes, jumps and climbing activities.
The Educational Adventure III (EA III) program provides your choice of one EA class and a Day Pass, providing access to available Land, Whitewater and Flatwater pass activities. Students will rotate through the EA class time and available pass activities in small groups.
The Day Pass Adventure provides students and chaperones full-day access to available Land, Whitewater, and Flatwater pass activities. Your group can pre-book rafting times to better plan your day. For more information, please contact Group Sales at (704) 391-3900, Ext 116.
