Experience all the thrill and variety of the USNWC -- just minutes from Charlotte's urban center and easily accessible from I-85 and I-485. The USNWC is home to the areas most unique combination of amenities and activities, able to accomodate outings of any size.
On the banks of the Catawba River, nestled in nearly 400 acres of historic Tuckaseegee Ford Park woodlands, the USNWC combines unlimited outdoor adventure with state-of-the-art conference and meeting facilities, music and large outdoor event venues, a retail Outfitter's Store and our River's Edge Bar and Grill.
From families, church and civic organizations, and corporate outings to the casual observer or the skilled athlete -- we've got something for everyone. Come raft, kayak, climb, bike, run, walk your dog or just hang out ... we hope to see you soon.

Whitewater River
The USNWC's centerpiece is our multi-channel re-circulating whitewater river -- the largest of its kind in the world. The river circulates over 12 million gallons of water, producing a variety of conditions suitable for beginners and Olympic athletes alike. The river's channels are divided among 3 courses with Class II to IV rapids that can be navigated via kayak or guided raft.
A 110-foot conveyor lifts boats and their paddlers, from the bottom back to the Upper Pond in 60 seconds in a manner similar to T-bar or rope tow similar to a ski resort.
Catawba River
In addition to our man-made whitewater river, flatwater access to the Catawba River is available for kayaking and canoeing in one of the region's most scenic locations.
Trails
Fourteen miles of rolling trails course through the USNWC's nearly 400 acre scenic woodlands providing opportunities to bike, hike, walk or run while enjoying views of the Catawba River.
