How many activities can I expect to participate in with my AllSport Pass?
Guests typically participate in up to 2 activities depending upon the activities chosen. Even though more activities are available, guests simply tire out or do not have enough time to do all of the activities offered.
Also remember to allow plenty of time to be here at the Center in order to do all of the things you wish. Many guests need up to 5-6 hours to get in all of the activities they hope to enjoy. We do close activities at scheduled times and often times people are hungry and eat at the restaurant which takes up valuable play time. Below are some tips to help you plan out your day:
Rafting: Rafting is one of the most popular activities and we try hard to make sure that as many trips as possible are available during a given day. There is considerable capacity on most days but some days and during certain times, rafting trips may not be available. Our pass activities schedule provides rafting times in advance. When you arrive on site check our daily schedule for specific raft trip times. Rafting is available on a first come, first serve basis so we recommend getting on the first possible raft trip that you can.
Mega Zip: Our newest and most popular activity... The line for the Mega Zip can become long on busy days so check the line and be prepared to wait on busy days. We do apologize for lines but we also want to make sure we never compromise your safety or quality of experience. Please note that the Mega Zip weight requirements may change due to wind conditions.
Biking: Guests are welcome to take a bicycle out for up to 2 hours. If you wish to use the equipment for a longer time period, please check in to make sure others are not waiting. If you are trying to fit in many activities, we recommend taking the bikes out for a shorter period of time so that you may participate in other activities.
Climbing (guided routes only): The climbing sessions are 30 minutes long. There is typically a wait for climbing and tokens are provided to hold your place in line. This allows you to perhaps grab a snack at our on-the-go counter, or relax on the hillside and watch other climbers ascend the wall.
Eco Trekking: Guests have up to 2 hours for their eco trekking experience. If you wish to use the equipment for a longer time period, please check in to make sure others are not waiting. For eco trekking, only one GPS is needed per small group of 2-5 people. Accordingly, you only need to pay for one GPS and all others are allowed to utilize the same equipment (i.e one price covers your entire group.) This activity is great for all ages but there is a fair amount of walking involved.
Climb 2 Zip: Climb 2 Zip is located in the high ropes course area. It will take time to walk to and from the activity, and the duration is approximately 20 minutes once you arrive to the Climb 2 Zip.
Flatwater Kayaking (guided and self guided): Guided flatwater kayaking tours are approximately 2 hours, and they leave on a fairly strict schedule. Please see the pass activities schedule for general hours and if you have specific questions, please call 704.391.3900. Self-guided flatwater kayaking is available on a first come basis and is not subject to trip times (boats are available per the posted daily schedule that you can obtain once you arrive on site.)
How do I go about participating in the various activities?
First, check the pass activities schedule for availability. Second, sign a Waiver Form (either download and bring it to the USNWC or fill one out when you arrive). Finally, decide whether to purchase an AllSport, OneSport, CoolSport or QuickSport Pass. Visit our Activities pages for information on age, skill level, gear requirements, reminders and "what to do"...
With an AllSport or CoolSport Pass, can I just keep getting back in line for the same activity?
Yes. The AllSport Pass gives you all day unlimited access to the following activities: (rafting, climbing (guided climbing only), climb 2 zip, mountain biking, flatwater kayaking, eco trekking and mega zip.) If you are interested in trying an activity a second time, simply get back in line.
The CoolSport Pass gives you all day unlimited access to the following activities: (climbing (guided climbing only), climb 2 zip, mountain biking, flatwater kayaking, eco trekking and mega zip.) If you are interested in trying an activity a second time, just like the AllSport Pass holder, simply get back in line.
I just purchased a Pass online, will I get an e-mail confirmation?
Yes. You will receive a printable confirmation via email. Please bring your confirmation sheet with you when you decide come to the USNWC to use your purchased Pass. If you lose your confirmation sheet, one of our Guest Services staff members will assist you in finding your Pass information once you arrive on site.
I purchased a Pass (AllSport, OneSport, CoolSport or Quick Sport) as a gift for someone else. Can I make a return and get my money back?
We do not offer refunds for Passes or Adventure Cards.
I have a large group that is interested in coming to use the AllSport, OneSport, CoolSport or QuickSport Pass. Is there a number I can call for group rates?
Yes. Please call 704.391.3900 for group rates and information.
Can I share my AllSport Season Pass with other people?
No. The AllSport Season Pass is not transferrable. All Season Pass holders will be given a photo ID card for their exclusive use.
If I have a large group coming to the USNWC and we purchased our tickets in advance, do I need to pick up ALL of the tickets for my group?
Yes. The person making the ticket purchase will be responsible for picking up the entire group’s passes. All online ticket sales are tracked by the name of the ticket purchaser.
Does the AllSport Pass (and OneSport and CoolSport Pass) cover equipment rental?
Necessary, activity-specific equipment is included with each of these Passes. The exceptions are if a guest arrives with no closed-toe and/or secure footwear when such attire is required to participate in an activity. We do not provide swimsuits or personal clothing but we do make those items available for purchase in the Outfitter’s Store. For some activities (namely, flatwater kayaking, mountain biking and eco trekking), guests are asked to leave a credit card as collateral for equipment. No charge will be made unless equipment is lost or damaged.
Can I upgrade to a season pass after purchasing a $49 AllSport Pass for a day without an extra charge?
Yes. If a guest wishes to upgrade from an AllSport Pass to an AllSport Season Pass, the guest may obtain the Season Pass by simply paying the incremental difference. This policy applies for our Youth pricing as well. We are not offering special discounts to those who wish to upgrade from a OneSport Pass or QuickSport Pass to an AllSport or AllSport Season Pass.
Is parking included with the purchase of an AllSport Pass, AllSport Season Pass, OneSport Pass, CoolSport Pass or QuickSport Pass?
Parking is NOT included with the purchase of any of our Passes. For a one-time visit, parking is $5. A Season Parking pass can be purchased online or at the USNWC for $40. The charge for buses is $15.
Where can I purchase a Pass?
Passes can be purchased online, over the phone, or at the USNWC.
How do I know which activities are being offered and when?
Please check our pass activities schedule for details on activity availability. Because of capacity or weather conditions, activities are subject to change.
When will my AllSport, OneSport, CoolSport or QuickSport Pass expire?
AllSport, OneSport, and QuickSport Passes may be purchased and used any day until December 31, 2010. Likewise, AllSport Season Passes are good from the date of purchase until December 31, 2010.
Is there a limit to the number of tickets that can be purchased online?
No. However, if you are looking at bringing a particularly large group to the USNWC, we recommend calling our Group Sales at 704.391.3900.
Do I need to reserve a spot in order to have the opportunity to raft?
No. To accommodate everyone who purchases a Pass, each activity is enjoyed on a first come, first serve basis. Please see our online activities schedule for details on raft trip times.
I’ve lost my Season Pass. What do I do?
Please bring a valid ID (driver’s license, passport, military ID) in order to confirm your identity. All lost cards will be voided and a $5 replacement fee will be charged.
In the case of bad weather, can I get a refund?
In the event of inclement weather, some activities may not be available. Please check weather conditions before purchasing passes. Refunds and rainchecks are not available.
