Questions / Comments

  1. Kerry January 12, 2013 at 4:37 pm

Is there something immediately after the race? I understand that the music begins at 1. I might be planning a college alumni trip to the NWC, and would like to make sure there is enough for children to do. Thank you..

    • USNWC January 16, 2013 at 12:38 pm

Hi Kerry, following the Color Me Green 5K, there will be awards, food and drinks available to participants. From that point until 1pm, we have over 20 activities that are fun for families with children of all ages. The River’s Edge Bar & Grill is also a great spot to eat lunch before the river turns green.

  2. Ryan January 26, 2013 at 12:09 pm

What is the minimum age for the color me green run?

    • USNWC January 31, 2013 at 10:41 am

Hi Ryan, there is no age minimum for the Color Me Green run.

    • Rebecca March 4, 2013 at 6:38 pm

You say there isnt a minimum age, so its ok for my 3 yr. old to run with me as long as we stay out of the way of the faster runners? Me and her hike there often so I’m aware of the terrain.

    • USNWC March 5, 2013 at 9:29 am

Hi Rebecca, you are correct that there is no age minimum for the Color Me Green. However, if you’d like your 3-year old to participate, we will require that you start in the back of the group to avoid being in the way of all other runners. It is also important to note that the course will close at 10 a.m., which means there will be no water stops or official time kept after that.

  3. Andrew February 7, 2013 at 10:50 pm

Will there be the powerball (or whatever it was called) race down the rapids again? If so, what time and how much will they be? We plan on going based on this (my son loves it) and it will be good to know if you aren’t having this again.

    Thanks

    • USNWC February 11, 2013 at 9:41 am

Hi Andrew, unfortunately we will not be having the Powerball race this year. We will be having a Color Me Green 5K that morning at 9 a.m., followed by the river dyeing and live music.
