What: Sunset paddle along the Catawba River followed by a fireside dinner with craft beer tastings.

Participant Schedule:

  • Check-in at Kayak Center: 6 p.m.
  • Flatwater paddle on the Catawba River: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Campfire lit dinner and beer tasting on Hawk Island: 8 – 10 p.m.

Event Details:

Each cruise begins with a guided flatwater paddle along the Catawba River. As the sun starts to set on the river,  you’ll work your way back to the main facility for a specialty, fireside dinner on Hawk Island. Each cruise will feature a different craft brewery and tasting; representatives from the breweries will lead the tastings by highlighting new, seasonal and unique brews.

RECALL UPDATE — April, 25:

SR SUNTOUR along with U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall on 2011 Giant Revel bikes with SR Suntour Suspensions. This is the suspension fork on the Revel bikes that were sold at the Spring 2012 and Fall 2011 Used Bike Sale. If you bought a bike at either of those sales, please call the USNWC Trail Center at 704.391.3900 ext. 283. Thank you.

Used, Sit-In Flatwater Kayak ‘Garage Sale’ during Uncorked – Aug. 13

Whitewater River Jam Uncorked ThumbnailAs part of the Whitewater River Jam Uncorked on Saturday, August 13, the USNWC will be having a used, sit-in flatwater kayak “garage sale.”

The music and wine tasting will run from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., but the flatwater boats will be on display throughout the day. This is a great opportunity to pick up a quality boat at a very affordable price.

Our “sit-in fleet” of flatwater kayaks see much less usage than our sit-on-top boats; expect to see boats that are a few seasons old, but are still in very good condition. Both single and tandem boats are available. We’ll be selling boats from:

  • Dagger
  • Liquid Logic
  • Wilderness Systems
  • Victory
  • Perception Prodigy
