It says course closes at noon. Does that mean no one else can start after 12?
Hi Jake, we will be concluding all course aid at 12 p.m. during the Brew Dash 6K. Our volunteers and staff will begin to organize the results at this time so for those finishing after 12 p.m., timing will not be exact. As far as non-racers, the trails will be open throughout the entire day.
Can we view a layout of the course anywhere?
Hi Scott, we are working on creating a course map for the Brew Dash 6K. It will be a standard trail race. Check the Brew Dash page closer to the event for the map and course information.
I have never been to the USNWC. Is the trail jogging stroller friendly?
Hey Leila, for the safety of other runners, we do not allow jogging strollers on our race courses.
Will there be t-shirts for those who register?
Hi, those who pre-register for this are guaranteed to receive a race giveaway.
I noticed that headphones and media devices are discouraged. I like to use the Nike+ app to let me know how I’m doing, when I’m at 1/2 mile and so forth. Will there be markers at each mile and/or someone telling us times at each mile interval?
Hi Stephanie, we strongly discourage the use of headphones, etc. so as not to be distracted while running with others, but they are not prohibited.
Sorry, perhaps a stupid question, but is it just a straight run, or are there obstacles? like warrior dash… Also is it open to non-US residents? I’m from UK and was thinking about doing something that day.
Hi Terry, the Brew Dash 6K is a simple trail run without obstacles. Anyone is welcome to participate.
Can our 13-year-old, Ian, run in this race? Is he old enough? I know you are serving beer afterwards. Thanks,
Emily
Hey Emily, we do not have an age limit for this race so your son is welcome to run.
I live in NYC and I am thinking of coming down to run this race. I see we have access to the locker room. Will there be showers available after the race so if we would like to freshen up before going to the beer tasting we can?
Hi Marshall, our locker rooms have showers, restrooms, changing facilities and personal storage lockers.
Will the trails used for the 6K Dash primarily be green, blue or black difficulty level? We have a beginner runner in our group who’s interested.
Hi Sarah, the Brew Dash 6K will take place on the Lake Loop, which is a green trail.
Hello,
are spectators required to pay to get into the area to watch the race?
Hey Jodi, anyone is welcome to watch the race for free. We do have a $5 parking fee.
