Are you able to complete the paddle portion using a paddleboard if desired?

Will kayaks be provided unless we bring our own?
Hi Amelia, we encourage participants to bring their own kayaks and those who do will be responsible for transporting them to and from the flatwater dock. For those who do not own a kayak, we will have kayaks available to use.
I have no water experience, how friendly is this event to novices? Was this event held last year and have posted time results to review?
Thanks!
Hey Cindy, this event is geared towards all skill levels so a novice paddler should be fine. This is our first year for the Amphibious Duathlon.
What is easier to do as a novice, kayak or paddleboard? And can you borrow either the day of the race? Or just kayak?
Thanks!
Hi Raj, the kayak portion will be easiest for a novice paddler. Both kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding are allowed during the Amphibious Duathlon, but the USNWC will only have kayaks available to use. Those interested in SUP must bring their own board.
