Event Info:

Date: Sunday, April 22
Time: 2 – 5 p.m.
Schedule: Duck Drop at 4 p.m.

Event Details:

The U.S. National Whitewater Center is proud to host KinderMourn’s 8th Annual Hope Floats Duck Race. Over 15,000 sunglass-wearing rubber ducks will be dropped into the Wilderness Channel at the USNWC to race for prizes, including a cash grand prize. Members of the community will adopt these ducks for $5 each, buying a chance to win great prizes and most importantly, offering financial support for a worthy cause.

These yellow rubber duckies can teach us amazing things about the power of hope. For grieving children and bereaved parents in the Charlotte area, these adorable ducks offer the assurance that no one is turned away from KinderMourn because of an inability to pay for counseling services they receive after the devastating death of a loved one.

For more information or to adopt a duck, please visit KinderMourn.

This is such an amazing event. We have come out for the event for the past 2-3 years. I am a cancer survivor from a rare sinus cancer which I was battling Aug 09-Feb 10. This was an event that we went to shortly after I was told the cancer was gone. It was very powerful and I was amazed at how much help it helped me and it made me realize how devastating it would have been to my family had I passed. I will continue to support such an awesome event.
I would love to volunteer if you need help.
